One for my six year old son and the other for my ten year old son. (Their birthdays are one day apart, and they both wanted a Terminator head/mask for their birthday.)For what the mask is intended for, it's a great product. It's made of heavy duty plastic and seems to be very durable for rough play. My boys are not gentle by any means, and we've haven't had any problems with the masks despite the many drops and head-banging action. The mask comes equipped with an on/off/demo switch (which is almost hidden under the front of the adjustable headband inside the mask) so remember to remind your kids to turn the mask off when they are done playing with it to save on battery life. The eyes light up red when the mask is switched on, and when the kids have the masks on, you can look into the red eyes of the mask and see your child's little eyes looking back at you. It's a bit creepy but cool at the same... Read more Scary Metallic Skull, By = Durability: = Fun: = Educational: Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) This review is from: Terminator - Deluxe Head Roleplay (Toy) This thing quite literally scared the crap out of my 2 year old nephew. Actually, I think he must have been about 1.5 years old at the time. His diaper needed changing soon after his exposure to this Terminator head. I didn't get a chance to run a second iteration of the experiment, and since my control subject was my wife (who needed no diaper change after exposure) I am led to believe that this item at least contributed to said diaper change in the young human child. Call it a side effect of exposure if you like. Bottom line is, we need more data.So this review is also an apology to my nephew for scaring him when he was very young. Sorry little guy. I really hope he doesn't remember it when he grows up. But I do hope that Amazon.com is still around when he gets older, because it's an awesome website. I theorize that my nephew - and everyone else - will be able to order from Amazon via their cellular telephones. Or from what I like to call portable "tablet"... This review is from: DVI Gear HDMI Cable 2M (6 Feet) (Electronics) I got this HDMI cable for under $10 with shipping just to see whether it will work as well as the expensive ones and it was well worth the risk. I tested it with my upconverting LG DVD player on 1080i resolution on my 42" 1080p Westinghouse LCD TV (update 2009: now used for Blu-ray from PS3 to 46" Sony LCD TV) and it works just like any other HDMI cable, including those loud names who charge you ten-fold for "golden plated extra special micro gravity nanotechnology space age wireless high conductivity low noise extra gauge supercalafragilisticexpialidocious" cables with no difference in performance. By buying this cable I avoided the huge "naive citizen tax" included in these products. Considering its price, this is an amazingly good cable. 2,610 of 2,719 people found the following review helpful: Works for me and I'm a moron., By Moviefan (NJ, United States) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) This review is from: DVI Gear HDMI Cable 2M (6 Feet) (Electronics) This cable has received a lot of attention on Amazon, so I thought I'd throw in my two cents. I'll write the most simple review I can:Me buy this cable. Me plug this cable between Sony PS3 and Philips 42" LCD TV. Sony PS3 say "HDMI Detected". TV say picture from source is "HDMI 1080p". Me point to Monster cables and laugh. I will now go back to banging coconuts together. Thank you. 971 of 1,022 people found the following review helpful: Why pay out the wazoo when you can get this cable?!?!, By Ten D (IL United States) - See all my reviews This review is from: DVI Gear HDMI Cable 2M (6 Feet) (Electronics) OK - here's the story. I was going to buy a Toshiba HDTV. I had picked it out already and was ready to purchase it and that was when I found a promotion at a local retailer that if I bought a Toshiba HDTV then I can get $200 off of any of the Toshiba HD DVD players. The HDA2 was normally $399 but was on sale for $299 and with the $200 off I got it for $99!! You can't beat that!Well, I got that on Tuesday and it was an unexpected purchase. I asked the person at the store how much the HDMI cable would be so that I can hook it up as soon as I get home. He said, it's a Monster Cable and it costs $124.99! Whoa! I went up to the shelf and saw the sticker that said $124.99 on it and on the sticker it said "Financing Available"! What?! I'm not going to pay more for the cable than I did for the DVD player! These guys are crazy! I told the guy "You are nuts if you think I'm going to pay that amount" and I logged onto Amazon and purchased this HDMI cable I'm... Read more |
